A Safe space to grow
Anti-oppressive therapy & coaching practice supporting you in deepening the connection between the mind, body, spirit.
Hello, I’m Keanu M. Jackson, LCSW (he/him). It’s an honor to connect with you.
After years of working in the mental health field and feeling disheartened by its limitations and the harm caused by the status quo, I founded Homebody Psychotherapy with a clear and heartfelt vision: to create a space that centers and uplifts the voices, stories, and lived experiences of LGBTQ+ individuals and members of the Global Majority.
At Homebody, every part of you is welcomed, honored, and seen as essential to your healing. My hope is that in this space, you’ll feel grounded in your power, encouraged to trust your voice, and supported in embracing the full complexity of who you are — and all that you long for.
Empowering you to

Commitment to anti-oppressive Practice
Curiosity — Imagination — Empowerment — Advocacy — Connection — Authenticity
At Homebody Psychotherapy, we believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to come home to themselves — to feel grounded in their truth, connected to their body, and supported in their healing. This belief is rooted in a deep understanding of how systemic oppression, colonization, and structural violence shape our relationships to care, safety, and self-worth.
The mental health field has too often upheld these systems — pathologizing difference, ignoring cultural context, and failing to create space for the full humanity of those most impacted by marginalization. As a result, many people of the Global Majority, particularly those who are queer, trans, disabled, or otherwise "othered" by dominant systems, have been left feeling unseen, silenced, or harmed in their attempts to seek support.
At Homebody, we are actively working to shift this narrative. Our practice is grounded in anti-oppressive, trauma-informed, and anti-colonial principles — not just in theory, but in action. We’ve implemented a number of intentional initiatives to ensure that mental health care is accessible, affirming, and deeply respectful of your lived experience.

Finances should never be a barrier to accessing the care you deserve. That’s why Homebody Psychotherapy offers a sliding scale, with rates ranging from $30 to $100 per session, specifically reserved for queer and/or trans Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (QTBIPOC).
If you identify as part of these communities, we invite you to ask about sliding scale availability during your initial consultation. These spots are limited and prioritized for those most impacted by systemic oppression and economic hardship.
If we’re unable to accommodate your financial needs at this time, we’ll gladly support you in finding an affirming, low-cost provider or community-based resource. Our commitment to care goes beyond our caseload — we want to help you find a space where you feel seen, supported, and respected.
Sliding scale are limited, so if we are unable to accommodate your needs, we’d be more than happy to assist you in finding a provider who can!

Everyone deserves access to quality, gender-affirming care that honors their identity and lived experience. At Homebody Psychotherapy, we provide free gender-affirming support letters for all current clients as part of our ongoing commitment to accessible and ethical care.
If you’re not currently a client but are in need of a letter for surgery, legal documentation, or another aspect of your transition, you’re welcome to reach out and schedule a consultation. We’d be happy to discuss your needs and explore how we can support you with respect, transparency, and care.

We believe everyone deserves the chance to “test the waters” before diving into the therapeutic process. That’s why we offer free 15-minute consultation calls — a no-pressure space where you can ask questions, share what kind of support you’re seeking, and get a feel for whether working with Keanu feels like the right fit.
Consultations are an opportunity to explore alignment — not just with Keanu’s therapeutic style, but also with the values and focus of Homebody Psychotherapy. During the call, we’ll briefly talk about what’s bringing you to therapy, what you hope to explore or heal, and what kind of support feels most meaningful to you right now.
Whether you’re completely new to therapy or returning after time away, this space is yours to move at your own pace. You won’t be expected to commit to anything during the call — just come as you are.

At Homebody Psychotherapy, we recognize that healing isn't always linear — and that sometimes, what you need is a space to pause, process, and reconnect without committing to ongoing weekly sessions.
Our As-Needed Therapy option is designed for returning or former clients who are looking for flexible, short-term support during moments of transition, stress, or reflection. Whether you’re navigating a life shift, processing a triggering event, or simply need a space to ground yourself, these sessions are here to meet you where you are.
*This offering is available to previous clients who have already completed an intake and engaged in ongoing therapy with us in the past. Sessions are scheduled based on mutual availability.*
